Fox delays Dark Phoenix & New Mutants X-Men movies to 2019

 

Today Fox announced two major delays for it’s longstanding X-Men movie franchise .

 

First “The New Mutants” has been delayed from April 13th 2018 to February 2019, and now is scheduled to release on August 2nd 2019. This movie is a horror based spin off of the X-Men franchise.  The trailer for “The New Mutants” is below :

 

Second “X-Men Dark Phoenix” was originally set to release November 2nd 2018 and now has been pushed back to February 14th 2019.  “Dark Phoenix” is the sequel to “X-Men Apocalypse” and is set in the 1990’s. This movie tells the tale of Jean Grey as she transforms into the extremely powerful Phoenix. This movie is inspired by the popular  “Dark Phoenix saga” comic book series. 

 

 

No official word if either movie will be released in 3D . Considering that the last few X-Men movies (Apocalypse, Days of Future Past)  have released in 3D it is safe to assume that this movie (Dark Phoenix) would also release in 3D.
