"To accommodate the pic’s wide release — and still give audiences a glimpse at what the filmmaker sees as the further potential of digital cinema — various additional versions of Billy Lynn have been created. They include 120 fps in 2D and 60 fps in 3D as well as today’s current standard of 24 fps. Billy Lynn is also getting a Dolby Cinema release, with two high dynamic range versions that can accommodate 2D and 3D, with up to 120 fps in 2K resolution. Lee and his team have been working at his specially equipped postproduction facility in the Chelsea section of New York to create the best possible versions of each of the formats, derived from the 4K, 3D and 120 fps master. “The experience Ang is delivering will be there, it’s just at different levels,” producer Marc Platt promised."

This 3D movie is really interesting because of how it was created with a super high frame rate and Ultra High Definition . It seems like the 3D 4K 120 frames per second version will be all but impossible to watch since only a handful of theaters can display the movie as it was intended.

3D Instagram A case for a Nintendo 3DS App

They have software that lets you change 3D pictures and make them into wiggle GIFs. These animated GIFs give the illusion of 3D by wiggling .

This article is about the popular application Instagram and I make the case for a Nintendo 3DS application. Here is a small sample from the blog post: 

Currently, Instagram is not an available for download for the Nintendo 3DS at the Nintendo e-shop. There is a possibility of accessing Instagram via the Nintendo 3DS built-in web browser, but the experience is far from ideal. I believe this is a huge missed opportunity both for Nintendo and Instagram. It’s a missed opportunity for fans of stereoscopic 3D photography and within this blog post I will discuss the possibility of Instagram for the Nintendo 3DS.
