This preview breaks down the biggest upcoming 3D releases, along with select recent and returning favorites hitting theaters again. Whether you're looking for long-awaited sequels, bold new films, or special re-releases, we’ve got you covered.

The various movie release dates below are subject to change at any time. Furthermore 3D releases may vary between the various nations around the world. Some movies may only release in 3D in locations outside of the United States, and vice versa. Even if a specific movie does have a 3D version available your local theaters may decide to not have 3D screenings or to have very limited 3D showings.
Decisions on the 3D and 2D release of certain films may not be decided until weeks or days before its initial theatrical release.

We are about 85% confident that the movies listed below will receive a 3D release this summer. Some titles have already been officially confirmed, while others are based on genre trends, franchise history, and listings from exhibitors like RealD, which currently includes several of these films among its upcoming 3D releases. As always, availability may vary by location, so be sure to check your local listings.
We’re still hopeful that Masters of the Universe will receive a 3D release, but it has not been confirmed at the time of publication.
